I work with authentic, unplanned photos - not professional photography or anything you would think to post online. Find a few you took with an outstretched arm and kept for your own private record of life; look for a photo that exists outside the influence or approval of the public gaze, but feels important and moving to you.

I will attend to your memories as I attend to my own. My process transforms the original photo composition. I look up close to magnify the physical relationship between mother and child, and reinterpret it in colors that express the vibrant pleasure and intensity of motherhood.
